just as i was about to enjoy the week, i came down with the worst flu attack. i looked like one of shin-chan's friends, the one who always had snot running out of his nose :P my own nose turned a slightly mauve hue :))

before i went home yesterday, i mentioned to one of the chefs that i am coming down with a fever + the selsema was not getting any better. he promptly told me to sit down, then he went into the kitchen and came out a few mins later with a steaming bowl of mihunsup, complete with seafood and veggies.

this is one reason why despite a meagre pay, the odd hours and a horrible HR dept., I still love working here.

ahhh.. there's no better feeling than when:

1) zana's off to bed early

2) hubby's out for his weekly dose of male companions-ship at the mamak stall

3) there's like a whole season of scrubs on dvd just waiting to be watched.

anyways, i did make it to episode 8 before zana started calling out for mama. (mak aii.. 4 jam aku ngadap zach braff ke.. wakakakakkak)

what a great start to the week!! LOL

breastfeeding has started to become an ordeal since zana mula dah nak ngunyah2 everything that goes into her mouth.

in short, ADOI!! :(

i had a blazingly busy week so far, tengok2 this is the 1st entry for march 2006.. heh.

yesterday me had to tinkle2 the lobby piano, accompanying 2 singers, very, very good singers were they.. tempo gua pun kejap laju kejap slow. they were the 'senandung petang' for a large group of so-called 'educators' who were attending a conference here (by here, i mean the hotel gua carik makan). so that afternoon, right after the group finished their session, the organizers treated them to a special hi-tea, senandung petang & a fashion show also in the programme. i thought they shouldn't have taken the trouble to put up such a performance for the group.

imagine this: a young girl, probably 19 or so, nervously standing beside the piano, singing 2 songs to an audience of about 100 highly educated (or so it seems) people, and nobody even acknowledged her presence. not even a clap. all they were doing was stuffing their bellies with food, and chit-chatting with their fellow neighbours in the LOUDEST voices yg mengalahkan suasana pasar malam. i couldn't even hear the MC speak.

i think what we lack as Malaysians, is simply common courtesy. like yesterday, one does not need to duduk tegak and listen to the singer and let the food sejuk beku atas meja. it's just a simple matter of acknowledging her, clap laa sikit2, then sambung laa makan. and no need to SHOUT to each other! if the omputeh can 'whisper' to each other dlm restaurants like what u see in the citer2 tv, so can we! ini dahlah groups of lecturers, should at least know proper etiquette (pergh mcm real)unless of course, if she was singing to a crowd at a mamak stall, what the hell was she doing there in the first place :))

the fashion show pun lebey kurang je. the models walked by unnoticed, and i think the one whose heart was really 'pichah' was the designer's :P

maybe the organizers shouldn't have mixed the show with the hi-tea. it is a very ugly combination.
